Lynette Kay Herbert

Lynette K. Herbert (Holmen), age 75, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at her home on
December 1, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be planned in 2023.
Lynette was born in Duluth, Minnesota, the oldest of four. She lived in many states and touched many
people's hearts. From MN to TN, and everyone in between. She had a spark that was hard to deny.
Lynette married Marty in 1990, where they lived with their melded family of 4 children in Carol Stream,
IL until 2015 when, after Marty retired, they moved down to the SaddleBrooke community in Tucson,
AZ. Lynette has spent the last seven years enjoying the sunshine and rainbows over the mountains and
watching the birdies in the backyard. She loved to travel and cruise with her buddies. Loved the beach,
especially sunsets with her best friend Marty.
Lynette loved to be outdoors and enjoyed biking and hiking anywhere she went. Lynette was an active
member of the SaddleBrooke CycleMasters. Always the ultimate hostess, welcoming everyone into her
home and backyard, forging new friendships through food and laughter. Many great memories were
made and shared around the table and campfire. With her family, she spent many summers camping in
Door County, Wisconsin. A gifted seamstress, her Halloween costumes were award winning, and she
made the wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses for both her and her oldest daughter's weddings. As
a talented artist, she enjoyed drawing and painting. She loved to read, do puzzles and always had an
inquisitive mind.
Lynette is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Marty Herbert; her three children: Bobby (Shirley)
Nelson, Paula (Dan) Lucas, Kerry (Josh) Keller; her eight grandchildren: Eric, Tim, Michael, Jake,
Cameron, Luke, Mason and Adelyn; her two great granddaughters: Avery and Kendall; her brother and
sisters and nieces and nephews. Lynette is greeted by her daughter Kari Adams and her parents Thomas and Ingeborg Holmen.
