Lynette Klingerman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Guisinger Chapel on Sep. 23, 2025.
Lynette Lee Klingerman, 86, of Terre Haute (formerly of South Bend, IN) passed away peacefully in her residence at Harrison's Crossing on Monday, September 22nd, 2025. She was born January 18, 1939, in South Bend to Leonard "Bud" Feece and Mary Margaret (Augustine) Feece.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years Dennis Klingerman; sons, Kevin Klingerman (Shelley), Andy Myszak (Glenda); sisters, Eva Horvath and Terri Foley; grandchildren, Quincey, Griffin, Harper, Andrew, and Whitney; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Myszak; sisters Betty Shidaker, Mary Jane Feece, and Pat Dudeck; brother Jim Feece, and brothers-in-law, Norm Horvath, Bill Shidaker and Skip Dudeck.

Lynette was a 1957 graduate of Greene Township High School in South Bend and spent the majority of her career working for E.H Tepe and Crowe Chizek. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption for many years and could be found actively cheering on her kids at Vikings games or later in the stands of Washington High School. In her latter years, Lynette and her husband Dennis moved to Terre Haute, IN to spend more time with their grandchildren. She could then be found cheering loudly at St. Patrick and Terre Haute North sporting events. Maybe even disagreeing with a ref or two.

Luke 6:38 says "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you." Lynette was a compassionate and generous heart, always standing up and looking out for the less fortunate. She gave of herself but was also the recipient of equal amounts of grace. Her smile will be missed but her spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN with services to begin at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the nurses at Harrison's Crossing and Gentiva Hospice who have shown such great compassion over the past few months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities Terre Haute, 430 N. 14th ½ Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807 or projectneverbroken.org.
