Lynn C. Herring, 77, of Greensburg, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, in the St. Anne Home. He was born October 18, 1947, in Uniontown, a son of the late Floyd S. and Lucy V. Casteel Herring. Lynn proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After retiring, he remained physically active, enjoying life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Charlotte; brother, Gary Herring; and two sisters, Elsie Johnson and Elma Hustek. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-nine years, Linda L. Hyatt Herring; two sons, Chris Herring (Marlo) of Jeannette and Jake Herring (Christine) of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Ben and Emily; adopted grandchildren, Kaden and Avril; in-laws, Stan Hyatt (Emma Jean), Art Hyatt (Gloria), all of Uniontown, Al Hyatt of Weathersfield, CT; Sally Fillmore of Marquette, MI and Earla Herring of Haines City, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Lynn, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., in the Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Pendl, Officiating. Everyone please go directly to the Church. Interment with Military Honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
