New Comer Cremations & Funerals - Westside LocationEvelyn "Lynn" F. Lickers, born on August 15, 1949, passed away on March 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished family memories. Evelyn was a beacon of strength and determination; she was known for her fighter spirit, embodying the phrase “she just keeps going and going.” Her love for music was profound, with one of her favorite songs being Elton John's "I'm Still Standing," a fitting reflection of her indomitable spirit. Lynn held a special fondness for Johnny Cash, whose melodies often resonated within her heart.
Family was at the center of Lynn's life. She cherished getting together for family functions, relishing the moments spent with her daughters, Karen, Kelly (Brendan) Dady, and Theresa Marie; her sons, Ronald and Jason; and her beloved granddaughters, Tehya, Mya, Brenna, Saoirse, and Mabel . She found joy in the laughter and innocence of her great-grandchildren, Brielle, Saint, Anna, and Levi, who brought an abundance of warmth and happiness into her life. Lynn also shared a special bond with her sister, Marie, and her siblings, Marie (Richard), Robert (Karol), and Theresa (Scott).
Lynn's proudest accomplishments included her graduation from Culinary Arts school, where she proudly earned her degree, and nurturing her children, who continued to carry her spirit through their lives. Her love for the water was evident in her fondness for trips to Myrtle Beach and Florida, where she could often be found swimming and enjoying the serene beauty of the ocean.
Lynn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald, and her children, Joe and Rocky. She was also preceded by her parents, Nicholas and Winifred, as well as her brothers, Pat, Nick, John, Don, and Martin, and her sister, Winifred.
Lynn's memory will be honored during a visitation on March 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. A graveside service will take place the following day, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at 2461 Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612.
