October 17, 1946 - January 23, 2026

Lynn E. Tripp, 79 passed away Friday Jan. 23, 2026, in Spooner WI.

He was born Oct. 17, 1946, to Guy & Elizabeth (Bartes) Tripp in Chicago Ill. He married Sandy Parker on Feb. 8, 1969, in Shell Lake. He was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam later joining the Army National Guard. He later worked as a foreman at Seneca Foods in Cumberland.

Over the years Lynn enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, reading and writing poetry. He was an incredible storyteller and was full of wit and humor.

He is survived by three daughters: Melissa (Mike) Schullo of Cameron, Dawn (Troy) Tripp of Rice Lake, and Bonnie (Joel) Faschingbauer of Sarona; one brother Larry (Darlene) Tripp of Barron, one sister Sue (John) Wagenbach of Rice Lake: 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and his significant other Peggy Johnston. He is preceded in death by: his parents; his stepdad Everett Lightner; his wife, Sandy.

Visitation will be from 10 AM - Noon on Friday, January 30, 2026, Skinner Funeral Home, Shell Lake. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
