Lynna Gail Hall, 69, of Salem, passed to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Salem, Arkansas. She was born August 7, 1956, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas as the oldest child of Gaylon Ellis and Fern (Gill) Ellis. She graduated from Salem High School in 1974.
Gail spent her working years as a medical transcriptionist for Fulton County Hospital and was known there for preciseness and reliability. She was a member of the Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she played the piano beautifully for many years. Gail's best friend was her dog, Petro, Above all, Gail cherished her grandchildren with whom she made frequent trips to the City Pool, was a wonderful cook-bbq chicken, fried okra or burritos any time they wanted, and tea parties with a "real" China teapot, cups, and pinkies up!
She is survived by her sons, Derek (Karen) Hall and Dustin Hall of Heart, Arkansas; grandson Matt Hall of Agnos, Arkansas; granddaughter Callie Hall of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and granddaughters Leslie and Lanie Hall of Heart, Arkansas; great grandson Jace Hardy of Marlborough, Massachusetts. She is also survived by loyal sister, Kyla Ellis of Salem, Arkansas and a brother, Freddie (Pam) Ellis of Heart, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents Gaylon Ellis and Fern Gill Ellis.
Funeral services will be 2;00 P.M. Monday, December 15, 2025 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Rev. Bobby Coleman and Rev. Mark Cadenbach officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Burks Chapel Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Marvin Maguffee, Bob Maguffee, Kim Hall, Cavin Hall, Stephen Painter, Nick Painter, and Randy Zeigler. Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Miller, Anna Martin, Mark Cadenbach, and Amanda Sublett. Memorials may be made to the Agape Food Room at Salem, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
