Lynne Baker Blue was born on August 7, 1956 and died peacefully on October 1st, 2025, age 69, after a lengthy and challenging illness. Her family was at her side.
Lynne taught Theater, English, Literature and Art for nearly 25 years to elementary, middle and high school students. She was deeply involved in Courage Theater at Westminster College for 10 years, first as a student and then as an Associate Professor under Jay W. Lees.
She was a talented and gifted teacher, actor, director and artist. She was a voracious reader and read thousands of books (we're happy to send you a box!).
Courage Theater at Westminster College was where she met Charley. Their theatrical collaborations eventually led to a marriage of 42 years and two children. She was a devoted mother to Luke and Gwen. They're both fabulous human beings and Mom doted on them until the end. Dad will continue to do the same. Lynne's final words were "Please, be quiet, I'm trying to rest."
Lynne is survived by her husband Charley, son Luke and partner Samantha Van Atta, daughter Gwen and partner Tom Batts.
Also, survived by her sister Gail Raby and brother Frank Baker. She was predeceased by her mother Janet Kerby Baker and father Bill Baker
The family will hold a private memorial service and Lynne's ashes will be scattered in the mountains of Utah that she loved.
