Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden ChapelLynne Reed - Age 83, of Byron, passed away December 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, December 8, 2025 at Village Bible Church, 410 N. Ann St., Byron. Pastor John White will officiate. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service Monday at the church.
Lynne was born on November 14, 1942, in Detroit, the daughter of the late John and Olga (Maple) Loewen. She was an avid reader who found joy in Christian music, and she was well known for her thoughtful tradition of sending greeting cards to family and friends, never missing a birthday or special occasion. Her life was deeply grounded in her family and her faith. She loved the Lord, served Him faithfully, and longed for others to know Him as well.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Richard; children, Kelly (Bill) Brown, Lisa (Chuck) Bradley, Lynda (James) Swihart and Thomas Howard Reed; grandchildren, Conner and Rachel Reed, Emily, Hannah and Andrew Brown, Caleb, Caity, Carriane and Cera Bradley; Kendra, Taylor and Kenan Swihart, Logan Reed; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Nancy) Loewen, Renee (Bill) Bennett and Kathleen (Bill) Crawford. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Peter; son, Richie; sisters, Yolanda Mutch and Willa McCall.
