Lynnett Grace Warner, age 79, passed away on January 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lynn had a strong work ethic and a sharp mind. Early in her career, she worked at Sears as a punch card programmer and later at the Bendix Corporation as an IBM operator -pioneering roles for women in technology. She started her career as a medical transcriptionist at the Independence Sanitarium. She went on to dedicate more than 40 years to working for various providers; a role that reflected her attention to detail, professionalism and dedication.
Lynn was deeply committed to her family, faith and community. She was an exceptional mother and loving grandmother. She generously volunteered her time as a den mother for Cub Scouts and supported Boy Scouts, was actively involved in the PTA, and taught Sunday school. Her love of music was an important part of her faith life. She played the organ and sang in the church choir, sharing her talents in service to others.
Outside of work and volunteering, Lynn found joy in creativity, music, and time spent with loved ones. She and Larry shared a love of country, line, square, and swing dancing, creating many happy memories together on the dance floor. She also loved the outdoors and made many special memories through camping trips and boating adventures, embracing both nature and togetherness. She was a talented knitter who lovingly made blankets for friends and family, each one a lasting expression of her care. She enjoyed cross-stitching and was known for her cooking -especially her desserts, which were always made with love and generously shared. Lynn cherished friendship and community. She enjoyed playing Bunco with friends in the Teetering Rocks community and was always happy to open her home -welcoming friends, neighbors, and family alike with warmth, conversation, and something sweet from the kitchen.
Lynnett was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Leola Leek, whom she now joins in peace. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry Warner; her son Paul Warner (Lea); her brother Larry Leek (Julia); her granddaughters, Makenzie Warner and Briana Ladd (Colin); her great-grandchildren, Sloane and Niall; her nieces, Amanda Blocker (Hamilton) and Madison Peterson (Aaron); and great-nephew Lane.
Lynn will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, faith, and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the community she nurtured, and the many handmade gifts and shared moments that continue to provide comfort and connection.
