Mabel I. Burkholder

Mabel I. Burkholder, 93, of Ephrata, entered into rest on Thursday, August 28, 2025. A resident of the Lincoln Christian Home, she was the wife of the late Weaver W. Burkholder, who passed away in October 2009.
Born in West Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Martin E. and Anna (Zimmerman) Snyder.
Mabel was a member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, quilting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Jay C., husband of Rhoda (Good) Burkholder of Leola, Dennis L., husband of Marlene (Hursh) Burkholder of McClure; three daughters, Lois A., wife of Irvin Weaver of Ephrata, Judy L., wife of Vernon Weaver of Manheim, Karen J., wife of Kenneth Horning of Elizabethtown; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin L., husband of Norma Snyder and a sister, A. Ruth, wife of the late John Zimmerman.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; an infant daughter; a great-grandson, Preston Harnish and a sister, Mary, wife of the late Edwin High.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM, at Farm Crest Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 9 AM, from Farm Crest Chapel, with further services at 9:30 AM, at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Road, Leola, with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
