Mabel Pearl Dotson

MABEL PEARL (SCARBERRY) DOTSON, 91 years of age of Paw Paw, KY, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at her home. Born November 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Dorothy (Estep) Scarberry. She was a lifelong resident of Paw Paw, KY, a Christian for over 68-years and a member of Milfork Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a great cook and homemaker. She loved to sew and make quilts. She has quilts in almost every state and Germany. She was known as the "Quilt Lady."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57-years, Raymond Dotson; Son: Nicky Dotson; Grandson: Daniel Dotson; Great-Grandson: Thomas B. Oliva; 3-Brothers and 3-Sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include Sons: Randall (Jean) Dotson of Paw Paw, KY, Johnny (Eva) Dotson of Paw Paw, KY; Daughters: Nancy (Bobby) Stiltner of Phelps, KY, Diane (Danny) Dotson of Paw Paw, KY, Teresa (Taylor) Norman of Frenchburg, KY, Cindy (Steve) Plymal of Meathouse, KY, Eileen (Michael) Dotson of Hansonville, VA, Becky (Rodney) Justice of Oakwood, VA, Cheryl (Chris) Seherer of Spartanburg, SC.
Also, survived by 17-Grandchildren, 23-Great-Grandchildren, 1-Great-Great-Grandchild; 4-Sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Milfork Freewill Baptist Church Sunday and Monday evenings at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for MABEL PEARL (SCARBERRY) DOTSON will be conducted Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at the Milfork Freewill Baptist Church with Michael Casey and Willie Coleman officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Family Cemetery on Colley Fork.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her past Sunday school classes.
