Mabel Halsey Griffin

Mabel Halsey Griffin, of Joppa, MD, died at the age of 96 on November 17, 2016 at her home. She was born in Piney Creek, NC to Walter James and Lula Bina (Dixon) Halsey and was the wife of the late Robert O. Griffin, Sr. She retired from Greater Baltimore Medical Center in the late 1990's where she worked in the social service department. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a caregiver to many. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and also cooking and doing needlepoint. Survivors include her children, Robert "Bob" O. Griffin Jr. and wife, Judith, of Brookfield, WI and Gary A. Griffin and wife, Pat, of Randolph, MN; grandchildren, Robert O. Griffin III, Jason and Brian Griffin; and great-grandchildren, Maddie, Jacob, Eleanor, Ryan, Claire, Robert and Gavin. Those who desire may make a donation to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
