Mabel C. Kiepaz

Beverly - Mabel C. Kiepaz, 93, resident of Ledgewood Skilled Nursing home in Beverly and long-time resident of Ipswich passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at Beverly Hospital. Daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha (Lowe) Brockelbank and wife of the late John W. Kiepaz, Mabel was born in Ipswich where she was raised and educated.
In her early adulthood she worked as a maid for the Moseley family on Spring Street. Later she worked at Danvers state hospital in a nursing assistant type role and held many other similar jobs throughout her years. She loved to bake and everyone always raved about her Famous Rum cake. She enjoyed spending time gardening, solving puzzles, crocheting, and just basking in the sun. She was a kind, compassionate soul who always had a smile and a joke to tell. What she enjoyed most was watching all her nieces and nephews grow up. She was always there to lend a hand when needed.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Mary Canzano of Ipswich, Joanne McDowell of England, Janie Blunda of New Hampshire, Stevie Blunda of Rowley, Richard Hetnar of Florida, Scott Brockelbank of New Hampshire, Barbara Thomas of Ipswich and Richard Brockelbank of South Carolina. She will also be greatly missed by her many beloved great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mable will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4 to 7PM at the Campbell Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich.
