Age 87, May passed away peacefully at Bethany Manor on Sunday, December 25, 2022. She was born on October 18, 1935 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Harold & Mabel Stotenbur Wilson. She married Donald McLaughlin on April 30, 1960, and he predeceased her on July 2, 2001. May was a longtime employee of CWA Local 1111, AFL-CIO in Elmira as a secretary/treasurer. She most enjoyed her time working for the telephone company, her pets and spending time with family and friends. May is survived by daughters, Karen McLaughlin, Spencer, NY; and Donna (Tim) Schwender, Spencer, NY; grandson, Michael McLaughlin, Montour Falls; many nieces, nephews and friends made over the years. In honor of May's wishes, all services will be held privately. She will be interred in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery beside her husband. "It's not what you gather but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived."

Hello Donna and Karen, very sorry for your loss. I have a lot of wonderful memories at your home on Beckwith Road. I can still see king coming down the front yard to get the school bus when you got off lol. I loved spending the night at your home and eating Cap´n Crunch for breakfast with you all. My family never ate breakfast together so it was a treat to sit around the table with you all. I can remember Karen teaching us to do the locomotion and staying out in the camper was always fun. I was remember being scared a bear was going to get us though! Hope you are all well and enjoying life. I am in my parents Homestead and love it here. If you ever come up this way or go to fairshake please look me up. Love to you all, Wendy
