Mabel M. Miller

Wisconsin Rapids - Mabel Mae Miller, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2021, at home with Dennis and Cindy by her side.

Public visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 25, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will at 11:00 A.M. on January 26 at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mabel was full of life, full of adventure, had Mid-State Technical College students living with her for several years which turned into a passion for running a girl's home (Foster Care.) Mabel spent several years on the Board of Directors of Forest Hill Cemetery Association. She spent a lot of time with her kids and grandkids and loved having tea time, making arts and crafts, teaching them how to sew and life's lessons along the way. That fun and passion was past on to her great-grandkids and they loved every moment with their "Grams." They enjoyed soup days and shopping days, sending them on their own missions to find groceries or house items.

Mabel enjoyed her time with family and friends, but most of all her long-time partner in life for over 32 years Dennis Polach. She truly loved spending every day with Dennis. They did so much together: going out to eat Friday nights, car rides, random stores, and loved going to Marshfield for his board meetings. At the end of the day there were so many things she loved to do, but her favorite things were tea, coffee, music, watching old-time movies, and enjoying the fireplace where she called home.

Mabel is survived by her children, Cindy L. Miller and Linda Miller Whitley; grandchildren, Amber (Shannon) Torke, Ashley (Mark) Macon, Jeremy Ringer, Rory (Candi) Ringer; great-grandchildren: Mistie, Isabell, Sid and Kasondra Torke, Landon and Olivia Schmitt, and Levi Macon, Dekota, Ava, McKenzie and Carter Ringer.

She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Anna Plantico; husband, James Miller; brothers, Morris and Darwin Stransky.

Mabel's family would like to thank caregivers Spencer and Matt.
