Mabel Antoinette Glenn France Robinson was born on March 5, 1942, to the late Ida Victoria Boles Glenn and George Granville Glenn in Dobson, North Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the youngest of eight children. Married at the age of 15, she had a loving son and moved to Columbus, Ohio and lived there for 12 years.
She moved to Hampton, Virginia in 1972 and enrolled in Virginia School of Hair Design for Cosmetology and became a license hair stylist and eventually became a licensed instructor and owning her own beauty salon. Soon after she met the love of her life, Leslie Robinson, and was married in 1990 celebrating 32 years of marriage.
In 2002, Mother Robinson became a member of the Potter's House Church next door to her beauty salon. She loved the Lord and was a dedicated, faithful, and loving member, President of the Mother's Board, and member of the senior choir. She loved writing poems, spending time with her family and loved one.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her husband Lesley Robinson, her son Gary France (Jeanine), stepson, LeSean Robinson, four grandchildren; Chetara Bynum (Michael), Darren Newby, Taurika Freeman and Joseph Taylor and five great grandchildren; Promyce Cox, Charlie Woodbury, Simon Campbell, Mikiyah Cox, and Marwell Newby; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, relative and church Family.
