Mabel was born on May 2, 1934 in Lebanon, WI to Arthur and Hilaria (nee Bartel) Radtke. Mabel grew up on the family farm and graduated from Oconomowoc High School. After graduation, she worked at Ashippun Lumber and Fuel Co. On February 26, 1955 she married Maurice and they started their life long journey of farming, raising dairy cattle and over 400 chickens. Mabel enjoyed going on day trips with her sister and friends and with the Oconomowoc YMCA and WTKM tours. She was also a member of the Red Hat Gals. Mabel had strong faith helping at St. Olaf's for many events and teaching Sunday school. Mabel loved the holidays with her family, and we will miss her Easter Schaum Torte and her endless Christmas cookies. Mabel loved spending time with her grandchildren.
"Though she is gone, her spirit lives on in the fields she tended, the recipes she shared, and the laughter she gifted us. Grandma Mabel's legacy of hard work, kindness, and laughter will forever guide us. Your love and light will continue to shine within us."
Mabel is survived by her son's Keith, Randy and Brian (Dorothy); daughter-in-law Debra Solveson; grandchildren Renee (Joshua) Solveson, Brock (Bianca) Solveson, Samantha (Nathan) Osterndorf, Mitch (Katie) Solveson and Nicholas Solveson; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Elliott, Jordan, Haven, Reece, Lucia, Layla, Henley, Jaxon and Marleigh.
