MRS. MABLE MOMON JOHNSON

MRS. MABLE MOMON JOHNSON, age 87, formerly of Appling, GA, a resident of Hephzibah, GA passed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM, Thomson, GA oversees all arrangements.

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, our beloved Mable "Sista" Momon Johnson entered eternal rest peacefully at Doctor's Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1938 to the late General Hayes (Julie Mae) Momon, Sr. in Columbia County. Preceding her in death are Husband Roosevelt D. Johnson; Brothers Lonnie Mack "LM" Brown, General Hayes "Buddy" Momon, Jr., and John Edward "Big" Momon; Stepson Roy Lee Johnson, and Grandson Trevor Antonio Overton.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three Daughters: Glenda Moment, Christine Johnson, and Marie (Calvin) Henderson; two Sons: William (Cheryl) Thomas Johnson II, and Tracy (Daphne) Lynn Johnson; seven Grandchildren: LaShantel (Terry) Pinckney, Myia (Otis) Lofton, LaTasha (Asa Terrell, Jr.) Boynton, Shadrae Hill, Ammie Thomas, Candice (Priscilla) Johnson, and Stacey Johnson; sixteen Great-Grandchildren: Gabriel, Noah, Anaya, Otis, Alexandria, William, Asa, Aidan, Layla, Caiden, Braydon, Micah, Trevor, Tristen, Nathaniel, and Natalie; one Brother: David (Linda) J (Delma) Davis; an additional Sister-in-law: Shirley Ramsey; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
