Macie Lee Tyler was born in Water Valley, Mississippi on February 6, 1939 to the parents, Garfield,Sr. and Fannie J. Tyler.
She was educated in the Batesville, Mississippi school system and graduated from Batesville High School. After graduating
Macie met a man with beautiful green eyes named Curley Wendell Martin and they were later united in marriage on his birthday May 22, 1956 so
he would never ever forget their wedding date. Her husband was serving in the U.S. Army and was getting ready to travel, when in 1957 their first child
was born a baby girl, Mary, later moving to San Antonio, Texas their second child, a baby boy, Curley W. Martin, Jr was born.
They traveled one last place, San Francisco, California where their last three children were born Barbara Rena', Phyllis Jean, Annette Rachelle. They thought
that they had put down their final roots.
BUT GOD, said not so, moving to Kansas City, Kansas in 1967, was the final home for the family. God's plan was for the family to unite with a Church in its
six months growth called Faith Deliverance Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of "Dad" Lee Harold Johnson and his wife Mother Adlee Johnson, Serving as Pastor Aide Leader,
she loved working at "Faith", especially being there for her Pastor and Wife, serving where and whenever the doors were opened.
Her mother, Fannie J. Tyler was already a member there serving as Mother of the Church, until her passing in 1997, passing the torch to her daughter, Mother
Macie Lee Martin.
The Lord called Mother to work with the Evangelist Board, where she lit up everytime when they opened the doors, saying there was going to be a Revival. Revival, Revival was
something she said all the time "We need a Revival". Education of God's word was very important to her, she attended C.H. Mason Bible Institute and graduated with
the late Cedric Hooks, Sr..
She also received her B.A. degree at Donnelly College in Pre-School education. She worked for E.O.F. Preschool and Head Start program at 9th and Washington Blvd. Catholic Daycare on 5th Street.
Later, she became a Salesperson to Heart, such as Tupperware, Jewelry, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Queen of Sales for Home Interiors Company, Allied Health College Program and
last but not least Ameri-plan with Top salesperson behind her title
"She was affectionately called "Doll" by family and some friends.
But more than being A Great Woman of God - she was a Very
Wonderful and Loving and Caring MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, no matter what.
