Mack Hensley Obituary
Mack "Buck" H. Hensley, Jr. Mack "Buck" H. Hensley, Jr. of Nokesville, VA passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010. Born in Culpeper, VA on May 20, 1927 to Clara and Mack Hensley, Buck was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served his country in the Navy during WWII. In his youth he was an avid hunter and loved fishing. In later years he liked nothing better than to spend his days repairing in his shop and swapping stories with his buddies at the store.
Buck is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Mary Catherine, their three children: Catherine Hensley, Wanda Wright, Donald Hensley and his wife - Jennia, their grandchildren: Shelley Daisy, Rob Wood, Jill Bevins, Gregory Hensley and Morgan Hensley, their four great-grandchildren: Brandon Bevins, Luke Daisy, Alaina Bevins and Alexis Bevins, his sisters: Gladys Woodson and Jean Altland, and his brothers: Butch Hensley and Evans Hensley. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Victory Baptist Church in Nokesville, VA from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. An additional visitation will be held at Victory Baptist Church on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Victory Baptist Church in Nokesville, VA. Burial services will follow at the National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victory Baptist Church in Nokesville, VA.

Our deepest condolences go to Mary and her family. My fondest memories are of Buck and the friendship he had with my Dad Earley Nicholson. They worked at Trilways and commuted to D.C. together everyday. They shared a great friendship and helped each other whenever they were needed. I remember "The Great Potato Harvest". They were also neighbors and Buck would check in on my dad and talk about the good ole days.
Buck will be missed by all who knew him.
