Macy Annalee Quinn, age 23, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was born in Oak Ridge, TN, on September 4, 2002, to Robert Quinn and Brenda Stewart Quinn.
Macy was a kindhearted and loving person whose passion for learning and education touched everyone around her. A 2021 graduate of Waverly Central High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in English Education with Honors from Lee University. Her love of reading and teaching led her to a rewarding career as a high school English teacher in Hamilton County at Harrison Bay Future Ready Center.
Macy was deeply devoted to her students and had a remarkable gift for helping them understand and enjoy English literature. She inspired those she taught to see beauty in words and meaning in stories, always pouring her heart into helping others discover the joy of learning.
Beyond the classroom, Macy was known for her quick wit, joyful spirit, and creativity. She loved The Legend of Zelda, Genshin Impact, and a variety of anime. Friends and family said she was like a Disney princess, with a special way of connecting with animals. Macy had an obsession with the color blue and was rarely seen without her fun, silly earrings that matched her bright personality. She was an avid reader, loved sushi, and was adored by her friends for her warmth, humor, and authenticity.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Robert and Brenda Quinn; her sister, Shanna (Jeremy) Scholes; best friend, Dan Callahan; niece, Bailey Scholes; and nephew, Cash Scholes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Garrette Milliken will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Richlawn Cemetery.

Yesterday

Ms. Quinn was a student teacher at Ooltewah high school and a great one at that, she had a loving and cheerful personality that lit up everyone in English class. You could tell she was overall passionate about helping and nurturing students. Whenever you talked to her she had a sweetly astonishing response which made others better at asking questions, we all loved to hear her teach, or speak about things she was passionate about. We´re sending our condolences to this lovely teacher, condolences to everyone around her that has known her. Grievance is hard, but know in a safe place in everyone´s heart that this kind and helpful soul will be around to guide us through greatness and dark times. Thank you Ms. Quinn for everything.
