Madeleine Wilens, 93, passed away on December 7, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Sheldon for over 60 wonderful years; cherished mother of Stephen (fiancé' Dawn Cooper) and the late Kenneth; much loved "Bubby" of Asher (Rachel) and Jordan; adored great grandmother of Leora, Adina, Shalom and Levi and treasured daughter of the late Israel and Sarah Feldman. Madeleine was born in Paris and studied art prior to her immigration to the US at the age of 16. A Holocaust Survivor, as a young child, she first came to the US through New York and then joined her aunt and uncle, the late Abe and Lee Goldstein, in Chicago. Madeleine married her beloved Sheldon at the age of 20. Together they began an industrial manufacturing business. After the arrival of Stephen and Kenneth, Madeleine shifted her work duties to that of the family. Madeleine was a gifted artist, a sculptor and watercolor painter, but would never admit to her accomplishments, to her, her greatest joy was her children and her true love Sheldon.
