Madeline Carol Preston

Madeline Carol Preston, age 81, of Crystal, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at University of Health-Sparrow, Carson City.
Born June 13, 1943, the daughter of Donald and Madelon (Bond) Promenchenkel in Flint. After graduating high school, she felt there was more to learn so she also got her G.E.D. On June 10, 1961, Madeline married the love of her life, Kenith Preston; together they welcomed 4 children: Kenith Jr., Donald, Victoria, and Elvis; and later in life raised 2 grandchildren as her own: George and Meshele.
A woman of endless interests and energy, she loved to keep her hands busy. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds; may it be from diamond art, to sewing, to coloring. Madeline also enjoyed watching old tv shows like the Little House on the Prairie and old westerns. Known for her impeccable hearing (especially when her children and grandchildren were concerned), she also delighted in playing Bingo and shopping online at Temu. More than all, she loved her family and was always eager for their company, even her loyal furry companion, Casey, who was always by her side.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Kenith (Janis) Preston Jr., Donald (Laura) Preston, Victoria (Lee) Parker, Elvis (Peggy) Preston, George (Erica) Smith Jr., and Meshele (Keith Gotwalt; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years Kenith Preston; brother Donald; and sister Ruthann.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 11am until time of funeral services at 1pm in Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Crystal. Following, Madeline will be laid to rest in Crystal Cemetery.
