Madge Laverne Griffin McDaniel, 95, of Avondale Estates, GA, passed away at home on December 20, 2025. Born in Ty Ty, GA located in Tift County, Madge was the daughter of Calder Lewis Griffin and Ella Mae Whitley Griffin. She was married 63 years to Wiley Theodore (Ted) McDaniel and had two daughters, Mona Marie McDaniel (deceased) and Ann McDaniel Rorie. Madge is survived by her daughter Ann, her son-in-law Raymond Scott Rorie (Scott), her granddaughter, Dixie Carolyn Cochran, her brother, James Larry Griffin (Larry) and sister-in-law Ann Ortega Griffin.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 29th in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest after the service, at Midway Presbyterian Cemetery in Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28th from 1 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
