Madison Ray Dorman

Madison Ray "Matt" Dorman, 53, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on April 10, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland, Matt lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering dedication to others, and a passion for health and friendship.
Matt was a man who found joy in both spiritual service and physical strength. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God and symbolized this commitment through baptism. His devotion led him to serve faithfully as a regular auxiliary pioneer, ministerial servant, and elder in the Titusville, Florida and Airport, Ohio congregations. His love for God naturally extended to his fellow man- he believed that friends were simply family by another name. This belief was evident in the way he embraced those around him with warmth and sincerity.
A true enthusiast of fitness, Matt had a well-known love for working out. He competed in several natural bodybuilding shows but found his greatest joy not in competition, but in camaraderie. Whether lifting heavy or light weights didn't matter to Matt- what mattered was sharing good workouts and even better conversations with friends. His encouragement and positive spirit made every interaction feel like time spent with family.
Matt is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Karen Dorman; his cherished stand-in parents, George and Evelyn Dorsey; siblings, Ira, Donna, Joyce, Charlene, Shirley and Treaty; sisters-in-law, Janice, Sherri, Carol (Damien), and April; along with numerous nephews, nieces, their children, and the many friends who became part of his extended family over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beverly Dorman (Lingham); and his beloved brother, Wesley Dorman.
Matt's legacy is one of kindness, strength-both physical and spiritual-and an enduring sense of community. His presence brought comfort to many hearts and inspiration to countless lives.
We will miss you until the time we will see you again. We will be sure that every corner is covered with flowers when we welcome you back.

A Memorial Service will be held November 22, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at
570 Robinwood Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43213.
