Mae Blizzard
April 11, 1930 – October 21, 2025
Mae Blizzard, beloved mother, grandmother, and family matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by the love that she spent her lifetime giving. Born on April 11, 1930, Mae lived 95 years with grit, grace, and a fiery spirit that could light up any room.
Mae was a force of nature - feisty, funny, and full of life. She loved her coffee strong, her Elvis Presley loud, and her Black Friday shopping early. She could spot a bargain from a mile away and never met a yard sale she didn't like. Her famous deviled eggs were a family favorite at every gathering, served with the same spark and sass that defined her.
Mae is survived by her eight children - Patricia Conner, Diana Rebert, Sandra Howard, Norman Mann Jr., Norma Wriston, Rose Runkles, Lisa Deal, and Michael Blizzard. Her legacy extends through 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren - each one a reflection of her love and resilience.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Norman Mann Sr. and David Blizzard; granddaughter Cheri Runkles; sons-in-law Lester Wriston, Robert Runkles Sr. and Pete Conner; and grandsons Sean Mann, Norman Mann III, and Faizan Howard.
Mae's life was a beautiful blend of strength and humor - she could make you laugh when you needed it most and stand her ground when it mattered. Her feisty spirit will be remembered in every story told around the table, every shared laugh, and every note of an Elvis song drifting through the air.
Her family finds comfort knowing that Mae's fire will never go out - it lives on in the generations she shaped, loved, and fiercely protected.
The family will welcome friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 12 to 2pm and 4 to 6pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be Monday, October 27th at 11 am at the funeral home.
