Mae Evelyn Hall was born on October 11, 1947, in Sparkman, Arkansas to Valto and Elizabeth Dailey Hall. As a young child, her mother instilled in her to serve and have faith in the Lord. At a young age, she was baptized and became a member of New Mt. Zion AME Church in Princeton, Arkansas.
Mae Evelyn graduated from Sparkman Training School, Class of 1965. After graduation, she relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For several years, she was a successful business owner; Mae Evelyn never met a stranger. After the closing of her business, Mae Evelyn continued to develop strong relationships with her community. Mae Evelyn met the love of her life Clayton “Preacher” Ealy, and to this union, two children were born, Trevor and Shuntae.
Often you would find her spending time with her grandchildren, playing pool, or planning to travel to the next Dailey-House reunion. Mae Evelyn was reserved in her demeanor, hardworking, compassionate, and independent. With these positive attributes, she became a supervisor for over 10 years at Zenith, until her health started to decline. During that time, her sister-in-law, Nancy, cared for her in Arkansas. Then Mae Evelyn relocated back to Milwaukee. There her special niece, Charletta Tribble, cared for her up to her passing.
Mae Evelyn passed on to be with her Savior Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the care of St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee. Mae Evelyn lived a beautiful life, filled with love, laughter, tears of sorrow and joy, a sprinkling of disappointments, overshadowed by many, many triumphs.
Mae Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Sidney Dean Hall. Her gentle smile and sincere kindness will be cherished in the hearts and the spirit of her children, Trevor and Shuntae; her grandchildren, Kayla and Sherri Jones both of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, Charles Hall of Arkadelphia, AR; Tommy (Patricia) Hall of Dallas, TX; Ronnie (Nancy) Hall of Arkadelphia, AR; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
