Graveside service for Mae Jeanette (Morrison) Stephens, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2024, at the funeral home.
Mae passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in Cleburne after a long battle with cancer. She was born October 29, 1938, in Covington. Mae was a loving mother, wife and friend. She was devoted to her faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. She was a great listener, someone to go to for a private conversation. She loved to read mysteries and cook for family friends. Mae was very intelligent. She was very proud of working for the Itasca Post Office and creating art for Montgomery Ward, that was printed in the newspaper. Everyone loved Mae and will miss her dearly.
Mae is survived by her children, Randall Stephens, John Stephens and wife, Tiffany, Sylvia Santa and husband, Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Stephens; brother, John “Sonny” Morrison and wife, Debbie; sister-in-law Betty Morrison; grandchildren, Randall Stephens, Jr., Brandon Stephens, Bobby Stephens, Emily Schelle, Mitch Stephens, Michael Stephens; 14 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, Cindy Dunn, Ricky Thomack, Jacky Morrison, Matt Morrison, Rachel Morrison, Donnie Morrison and Jennifer Morrison.
Mae is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Newman Ray Stephens, son, Dennis Stephens; beloved parents, Eula and John Morrison and 4 siblings, Othell, Curt, Travis and Christine.
