Born: November 20, 1957, Orange Lake, Florida
Died: December 8, 2025
Maebell gave her life to Christ at a very young age. She enjoyed singing in the choir as a youth and encouraged others to join the choir and give their life to the Lord. She enjoyed discussing and mentoring other in the Word. A beacon of sunshine will be surely missed.
Education: Marion County School system, continued further education at Sante Fe Community College, in the dental care field – becoming a dental hygienist and assistant.
Employment: She worked and retired after 30 plus years at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Gainesville, Florida, where she mentored, assisted, and provided specialized training to individuals pursuing careers as dentist or hygienists. A love for her profession, she continued working in the Marion County Correctional System as a dental assistant, until the time of her death.
Personal qualities and passions:
A very patient and loving person. Always allowing time for others. Member of Time of Refreshing Women's Ministries. Passions: She had a strong passion for art creation, learning and playing the piano, sharing time with family and friends. She was called home December 8, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfret and Jennie B. Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memories a beloved son, Alton Benjamin Jr., Gainesville, FL; her siblings Linda Kennedy, Alphonso Wilson, Alton (Angela) Wilson, Daton, Ohio, Willie Wilson, Madison, WI, Mary (Joseph) Holsey, Severn, MD, Alfred (Melinda) Wilson, Orange Lake, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
