Maeza "Mei-Chih" Chiu

Maeza (Mei-Chih) Chiu, 81, passed away in her sleep on January 17, 2026. A beloved mother and wife, she was preceded in death by her son, James (Jim) Hurlock, Jr., her first husband, James Hurlock, and her siblings, Ching-Jung Chiu, Ching-Sung Chiu, Hsi-Wen Chiu and Ta-Tien Chiu. Maeza is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert (Bob) Munton, her daughter, Pamela Hurlock, and her siblings, Yi-San Chiu, Chien-Lun Chiu, Mei-Li Chiu, Yi-Shou Chiu and Ta-Chin Chiu.

Maeza was born in Taipei, Taiwan and emigrated to Florida to raise a family. She and her husband (Bob) moved to California in 1999 and enjoyed 22 years there before moving back to Florida.

Maeza was an accountant who successfully managed her own accounting business for many years. She enjoyed traveling, stock trading, aerobics, playing mahjong and spending time with family and friends. In her golden years, she enjoyed more time with family and friends.

We find comfort in knowing that Maeza's legacy lives on through the love she shared and the memories we will cherish forever. Maeza will be deeply missed by family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Hotel Melby in Melbourne, from 12 pm 3 pm. The address is 801 E Strawbridge Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901.
