Maggie Dawson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sep. 10, 2022.
Obituary of Maggie J Dawson
Born to Clara and Harry Fisher February 12, 1923, Maggie was one of eleven children. She is survived by two sisters Josephine Listenberger and Ethel Nelson. She was married to Arthur Lomont, with whom she had two daughters, Ellen Henriott (since deceased) and Colleen Barker (Jack). Arthur subsequently passed when the girls were quite young and Maggie raised her daughters as a single mother. Years later she married Daniel Dawson which blended four more children to their family, Craig Dawson (deceased), Brad Sawson, Eric Dawson, and Lori McElroy.
Maggie and Dan were married fifty wonderful years, thirty of which they enjoyed at Coldwater Lake in Michigan. Maggie was known to all as an ornery, feisty, mom, grandmother, and aunt. She was sharp of mind right to the end. A consummate baker, the family always looked forward to her Christmas box of homemade pies, cookies, and popcorn balls. She loved to crochet and do word puzzle books.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery.
Preferred memorials to Community Presbyterian Church.

Sorry to hear of the death of my dear Aunt Nede. She and Uncle Dan were a great match. Now they are back together. We always enjoyed their great hospitality when we visited with them at Coldwater Lake. RIP Dan and Nede.
