Mrs. Maggie O. Langford Teague

Maggie Odell Langford Teague, a devoted mother and servant of the Lord, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Madison, Alabama, to Ben and Willie B. Toney Langford, Maggie accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Head Usher and Arts and Crafts Director during Vacation Bible School.
Maggie graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Scottsboro, Alabama, in 1961 and later received her Nursing Degree from J.F. Drake Technical College in Huntsville, Alabama. She had a fulfilling career in healthcare, working at North Jackson Hospital, H.D. Lee, and various other facilities before retiring.
Maggie was united in holy matrimony to Robert J. Teague in 1961, and they had three children together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Willie B. Langford; aunt, Odell Hasley; brothers, Willie J. Miller and William H. Langford; grand fur baby, Brutus Shavers; and other loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, James R. Teague; daughters: Harriet Teague, Deundra (Paul) Shavers, and Ann Lytle; bonus daughter, Mavis Stevens; brothers: Grady (Jean) Langford, Percy (Joni) Nolan, and Thomas (Inez) Toney; sisters: Maureen Fearn, Betty (Betsy) Foster; sister-in-law, Timmie Langford; grandchildren: Jamie Teague, Jayla Brewster, Tiffany (Clinton) McCrary, Rashad Tipton, Brandon and Patrick Brown; great-grandchildren: RaCash, Kingston, Kane, Kani, and Kyomi Tipton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and special friends, Marion Jean Thompson, Willie Sullivan, and Cindy Harrison.
The funeral service for Mrs. Maggie O. Langford Teague will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church (43390 U.S. Highway 72 Stevenson, AL 35772) with Reverend Percy Nolan officiating. Interment will be in the Stevenson City Cemetery. Mrs. Teague will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
