Magiel F. Collett Heinrich, 85, of Independence, born on September 5th, 1939, in Pineville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2025.

Magiel, a devoted mother and cherished grandmother, was known for her incredible spirit and zest for life. She dedicated herself to her family, taking great joy in spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love extended to her beloved pets, particularly her dogs, which she adored immensely. After spending many years in the insurance business, she quickly became an accomplished mortgage banker, retiring as Vice President of a mortgage bank in Illinois. Throughout her life, she had a passion for crafting, reading, music, and singing to family. “On The Wings of a Snow-White Dove” and “You are my Sunshine” were family favorites.

Magiel is survived by her daughter, Donna Blanch (Brian), her brother, Darrell Collett, and her sisters, Sharon Smith, Linda Woods (Rick), Sandy King, and many nieces and nephews. Her legacy continues with her grandchildren, David Zepeda (Jennifer), Linda Henson (David), Alice Lewis, Randy Collett, and Emily Mischke (Jason). Along with eleven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Pandora, Jacob, Brendon, Cheyenne, Jaiden, Piper, Persephone, Isaiah, Eloise, and Jasper who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, parents Clarence and Bessie, sisters Eunice and Loretta, and brother Jerry who all instilled in her values that she cherished throughout her life.

Magiel will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her absence will be felt deeply by her family and all whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 3rd, 2025, between the hours of 5PM-8PM, located at the Edgewood Liberty Hall, 550 Freedom Park Drive Crestview Hills, KY 41017 in Hall B under the direction of her daughter, Donna Blanch and family. In lieu of flowers, Magiel expressed her wishes that she would like donations made to the Kenton County Animal Shelter in her honor.
