Majoria Bragg, 68, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, August 30, 2024, at Heritage Woods of Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at Gaines Chapel AME Church, East Moline, with Rev. Larry Lee officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will follow services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Majoria’s memory.
Majoria was born January 23, 1956, in Gholson, Mississippi, the daughter of Ezekiel and Marjorie (Clark) Bragg. She worked for the United States Postal Service for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, going to garage sales, dressing up and taking pictures, and listening to jazz music. She also loved playing card and other games. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Majoria, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Majoria is survived by her loving son, Nicholas (Louisa Valdez) Bragg of Davenport; six grandchildren, Nyana, Bryce, Keylan, Vincent, Nikayla, and Giovanni Bragg; siblings, Ora Bragg of Chicago, Minnie Kate (Bruce) Jarvis of Williamsfield, Illinois, Oliver (Brenda) Bragg of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Wynell Bragg of Bettendorf, Iowa; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezekiel Bragg, Sr. and Marjorie Bartl; and siblings, Ezekiel Bragg, Jr., Randall Bragg, Emma Ann Bragg, James Fred Bragg, Lillie Bragg, and Rufus Bragg.
