Makie Anne Garrett, Born December 1, 1960 in Walhalla, SC, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, John and Syble Garrett.
Makie was a devoted mother to her son, Jonathan, and a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren: Evie, Morgan, and Memphis. She was also a loving aunt to her nieces, Lindsey and Marlie. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her brother, Jody, sister in law Stephanie, and honorary brother, Tony, who shared many memories with her throughout the years. She was also a beloved mother-in-law to Jonathan’s wife, Krista.
Makie’s presence in the lives of her family and friends will never be forgotten. Her kindness, generosity, and love for animals, hobby lobby and the beach will always be remembered. Her love for Gatlinburg aka her Happy Place will bring joyful memories for all that visit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the beautiful life of Makie Anne Garrett. Further details will be shared with loved ones.
