Malcolm Joseph "Moe" Bordelon, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Covington, LA. Born on March 2, 1939, in Plaucheville, LA, Moe was a man of warmth and humor, whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Moe's life was marked by dedication and service, both professionally and within his community. For 46 years, he worked as an engineer for the Railroad, where his commitment and work ethic were well-recognized by his colleagues and peers. Beyond his career, Moe was deeply involved in various organizations that reflected his values and interests. He was a proud member of the Jerusalem Temple, a past Master of Grand Lodge #444, a past Monarch of Farhad Grotto, and an active participant in the Clown unit and the Grotto Bug Patrol. His sense of camaraderie and love for his brothers in these associations was a testament to his belief in fellowship and service.
Moe's love for life extended to his personal passions. He was often found Cajun dancing with the ladies at Moe's Chalet, where his infectious laughter and jovial spirit were a source of joy for all. His love for a cold beer and good company was only surpassed by the love he held for his family.
As a father and grandfather, Moe was adored by his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Michael Bordelon (Jesse), and grandchildren Carter Bordelon, Harris Hall, Blane Hall, and Rhen Bordelon. Moe was predeceased by his sons, Tommy and Joey Bordelon, and his grandchild, Corey Bordelon. He was born to the late Wade Bordelon and Irma Galland Bordelon and was the brother of the late Milfred Bordelon, Mildred Redman (Marion), and Elise Soldani (Ronald). Moe also leaves behind a legacy of love among his nieces, nephews, and cousins: James, Karen, Tammy, Carol, Janelle, Johnny, Crystal, Erroll, Deborah, and Ronnie Troy, who will all miss his kind and funny nature.
Those who knew Moe will remember him for his kindness, his friendly demeanor, and his ability to make anyone smile. Moe's life was a tapestry of meaningful relationships and memorable moments, and he will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
As we bid farewell to Malcolm Joseph "Moe" Bordelon, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a heart given freely, and a joy that will echo in our memories forever. He was a light in the lives of many, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with kindness, humor, and friendship. Moe's journey may have come to a close, but his story will be told for generations to come, with love, laughter, and a fond remembrance of a life well-lived.
