Malcolm Kimball Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crosby & Neal Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Newport on Dec. 16, 2025.
Malcolm "Mack" Kimball, 90, passed away on December 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born January 25, 1935, in Parkman, Maine, the third son of Eugene and Virginia (Woodard) Kimball.

Following the death of his father in September of 1942, Mack lived in Jackson until 1955. He married Minnie Bryant in June of 1954 and proudly entered the United States Army in 1955, serving until 1958 and receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Mack worked for area textile mills in many capacities over the years, including serving as a shift boss. He spent 28 dedicated years at Eastland Woolen Mill as a card room fixer until its closure in 1996. After retiring, he devoted his time to several organizations, including the American Legion, VFW, and others-though his most meaningful service was with the Corinna Food Pantry, where he volunteered beginning in 1999.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Kimball and Julie Russell of Exeter, Maine, and Kenneth's daughters, Ashley and McKaila; his daughters Marilyn Pearl of Exeter, and her son John; and Wannita and Raymond Crocker of Corinna, Maine, and their daughter Misty. He leaves behind five grandchildren: Misty and Aaron Reynolds and their son Daxton of Readfield; Aaron Kimball (son of Merrill Kimball) and Leona Dorval and their children Aaron Jr. and Raelynn of Milo; Ashley and Matthew Bell and their children Deaken, Connor, and Scarlett of Sangerville; and McKaila Kimball and Matthew Taylor and their children Abigail and Boady of Canaan. John Badger and Susan Fowler and their children Ethan and John Jr. of Madison.

Mack was especially grateful for the companionship of Karlenne Page for many years, whom he lovingly described as "the joy of my life from this day on, who gave my life purpose."

He was predeceased by his parents (Virginia and Eugene); his stepfather, Grover Woodard; his son, Merrill Kimball; son-in-law Norman Pearl; and his brothers Raymond, Clifton, and Norman.

Mack devoted many years to researching genealogy on both sides of his family, gaining great joy and wisdom from the stories he uncovered. He often reflected on his life with humility, saying, "My life and my efforts were never perfect, but Lord, I've tried."

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 2–4 PM at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, Maine.

A graveside service and Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the spring at Corinna Center Cemetery, with the date and time to be announced.
