Mamie Brogdon, 92, of McDonald, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2026.
Born on September 2, 1933, she was the daughter of Minnie and Ira Lee Bailey. Mamie married Luke Brogdon on April 5, 1952. She dedicated many years of service to Hardwick Clothes, retiring as a forelady of the shipping department.
Mamie had a deep love for sports, especially cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She treasured family gatherings and enjoyed dining out with those she loved. At home, she found joy in watching her favorite television shows and sipping coffee on her front porch.
A devoted member of Corinth Baptist Church, Mamie's faith was an important part of her life, and she dearly loved the Lord.
Preceded in death by her husband, Luke Brogdon; daughter, Sandra Cantrell; son, Ronnie Brogdon; grandson, Jeremy Brogdon; sisters, Ellen Ruth Bailey, Mary Knight, and Etta "Tinker" Bennett; brother, James "Bud" Bailey, and Irand "Poodle" Bailey; and son in-law, Wendell Couch.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Couch McCann (Max McCann Sr); son in-law, Steve Cantrell; grandchildren, Keith (Brenda) Johnson, Kim (Joe) Kibble, Heather (Jeremiah) Million, Josh Brogdon, Jon (Amber) Brogdon; bonus grandson, Jamie Weber; great grandchildren, Wayne Johnson, Bayleigh Morgan, Rylie Morgan, Caden Kibble, Preslee Million, Hartley Million, Ryker Brogdon, Logan Brogdon, Kayleigh Smith, Jameson Fleming, and Grayson Fleming; sisters, Janice (Dennis) Norman and Betty (Tex) Gillian; special niece, Sherry LeCroy; and many other loved family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at 2:00pm at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonald, TN. Shane Williams will be officiating the service and pallbearers will include Logan Brogdon, Wayne Johnson, Caden Kibble, Josh Brogdon, John Brogdon and Jamie Weber.
