Mamie Bulls

Mamie (Evans) Bulls 69, entered temporal life January 14, 1956 transition to eternal life March 7, 2025.She made her transition peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas, with family at her side.
Mamie was born in Charleston South Carolina, to the late Mary Lee (Dukes) Evans and Willie Evans. She was the first born to her mother's six children. She moved to Newark, New Jersey in 1964 with her mother and siblings. There Mamie attended school, married and started her own family. In 1974 she and her immediate family moved to Oceanside, California, where her late ex-husband Ernest Bulls served in the United States Marine Corps. In 2004 Mamie moved to the state of Texas where she bought her home and retired from the State of Texas, Dallas Five District Parole Office.
Mamie was baptized at an early age. She loved ushering in the church. Her relationship with God was personal. She would take ownership by stating "My God". Mamie enjoyed sitting outside feeling the breath of God blowing on her as a cool breeze. Relaxing under the warmth of the sun shining down on her. Listening to the birds chirp as she sipped on a fresh cup of coffee, smoking her cigarettes while reading her bible.
Mamie had a wonderful creative gift in decorating. A great sense of humor, a considerate person with a big heart. Her doors swung open wide with her warm hospitality. She was loved by many people and called by different names, such as: Mamie, Mom, Grammy, Aunt Mamie Gum, Sis and Sissy.
Survivors left to mourn Mamie's transition into eternal life: Two children Yolanda R. Evans (Texas) and Shonnel R. Bulls (California). Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren Three aunts Earline Smith (California), Laverne Bryant and Gloria Dukes (Texas). Four sisters Gladys Meredith, Audrey Tate, Joyce Evans (Texas), Ivory Kelly (Arizona) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in death: daughter Tracy L. (Evans) Childress, mother Mary L. (Dukes) Evans, brother Herbert Evans, and other loved ones.
Rest in peace Mamie.
