Mancil Earl Doolittle, 71, of Green Bank, WV, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.
He was born February 17, 1954 in Magnolia, MS, a son of the late Dale Leonard Doolittle and Dora Cornelia Freeman Doolittle.
Mancil was a member of the Church of God. He became a Christian at a young age. He loved God, enjoyed his church family and attending church every Sunday and Wednesday evening.
He loved having a large family. He told everyone he met how many children he had, recited their names as fast as he could. Told them their ages and how everyone is either odd or even ages between August 3rd and September 30th, so now the ages are 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 and 48! He would be very proud of that.
He was a retired long haul truck driver. Being a trucker was his passion. He drove most roads and routes, knew which gas and food options were closest to specific mile markers and exits across the United States. He enjoyed talking on the phone and kept in touch with many family, friends and previous truck driving buddies. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.
