Manilal Chaudhari Obituary
AUBURN - Manilal Chaudhari, 77, of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, and Auburn, Indiana, passed away at Parkview DeKalb Hospital on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.
Born on Feb. 4, 1947, in Bakarpur, Gujarat, India, he embodied resilience and ambition, constantly striving for greatness and inspiring his loved ones to do the same. Manilal was a trailblazing entrepreneur known for his innovative spirit, unwavering drive and dedication to his family.
Manilal is survived by his beloved wife, Ejuben Chaudhari; children, Mahesh (Kiran) and Dimpal Chaudhari; grandchildren, Lisa, Rachna, Sonia and Raj; and sister, Raiben (Babulal) Chaudhari; as well as many extended family members who will forever cherish his guidance, wisdom and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jivanbhai and Umiyaben Chaudhari; and two brothers, Gangaram (Ratanben) Chaudhari and Bhikhabhai (Manekben) Chaudhari.
Manilal owned and operated Victoria Motel in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, before relocating to
Indiana, where he opened and successfully ran Sunrise Donuts for many decades. He later built Sunrise Apartments in Auburn, a venture that earned him an "Innovation in Real Estate" award from the local community.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Manilal enjoyed long-distance road trips and spending quality time with family and friends.
Manilal's boundless curiosity, determination and devotion to his family leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to National Kidney Foundation (https://www.kidney.org/).
