Born on June 2, 1959, in Jacmel, Haiti, Manite Jean Pierre was raised in Bas Cap Rouge by her parents Weber Pierre-Louis and Christine Joseph. She grew up with strong values of faith, respect and hard work, which shaped both her relationships and the way she raised her children. Affectionately known as Manite, Mrs. Raymond, Ketou, or simply “Manman,” she was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.

After completing elementary school at Hozanna’s School, Manite paused her education, eventually marrying Raymond Jean Pierre in 1982. Together, they had three children: Fabienne, Peterson and Richardson. Her commitment to family was unwavering, guiding her children with firm yet loving care.

In 1995, Manite returned to school, completed Rhetho and was admitted to Philo at Lycée Pinchinat, Jacmel. She reunited with her family in the United States in 2004, embracing new beginnings while remaining devoted to her children. Her creativity was reflected in her self- taught design skills and elegant style.

Her religious convictions consistently served as a foundational principle throughout her life; she demonstrated commitment through regular prayer, participation in mission work and service as both a Sunday school instructor and choir member, thereby making a positive contribution to her community.

In 2021, Manite became the grandmother of six grandchildren: Eleisha, Adaaisha, Jhadassah Elijah, Eliakim, and Ezraim. The role of grandmother was especially meaningful to her and she took great satisfaction from the growth of her family.

Facing health challenges in 2025, she came to understand that her time on this earth was drawing to a close. With honesty and faith, she often reminded her children that she did not have much time left, preparing them with love and prayer.

On 26 November 2025, she peacefully took her final breath and answered God’s call, transitioning from this life into eternal rest in His presence.

Manite leaves to cherish her memories Her Son Mari: Raymond Jean-Pierre; Ses Enfants: Fabienne Jean-Pierre, Peterson Jean-Pierre, Jean-Pierre Richardson, Christiana Jean-Pierre (fille adoptive); Ses Grand-Enfants: Eleisha Jean-Pierre, Elijah Jean-Pierre, Eliakim Jean-Pierre, Ezraim Jean-Pierre, Adaaisha GraceJean-Pierre, Jhadassah Pearl Richardson, Nicolas Cook Richardson; Ses Belle-filles: Myriame Jean-Pierre, Judelyn(e) Placide Richardson; Son Beau-fils: Dieulet Aladin; Ses Sœurs: Gislene Lemène, Locita Jean-Louis, Judith Dominique; Ses Frères: Roger Anténor, Nicaice Pierre-Louis, Phanèce Pierre-Louis, Gérald Pierre-Louis; Ses Neveux et Nièces; Jorel St.Germain, Rosenie Anténor, Franklin Lemène, Nadine Lemène, Miriam Lemène, Esther Dominique, Christopher Dominique, Sandy Jean-Louis, Achelette Jean-Louis, Krylenie Pierre-Louis,Carl-Henry Pierre-Louis, Johnterley St.Germain, Douby St.Germain, Jean Moise Anténor and Kervins Anténor.
