Minnie Pear Parrish was born on April 25th, 1955, to the late Aaron Parrish and Minnie Lee Parrish,
both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Arthur Mays High School and
South Dade High School. Throughout her life, Minnie worked in various
industries, including hospitality and healthcare, where she found her true
calling in helping others.
In 2005, Minnie relocated to Dover, Delaware where she resided for over 15
years. During this time, she met her longtime partner, Tommy Vincent Jones.
Later Minnie moved back to Miami to serve as her mother's caregiver until her
passing.
Minnie Pearl loved spending quality time with friends and, most importantly,
with her grandchildren. After the loss of her mother, she moved to Tifton,
Georgia, where she found renewed faith in Christ and joined Spring eld
Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Eric Wendel Lee Sr. She
remained a dedicated and faithful member of the church.
On the night of June 4th, 2025 @ 11:55 p.m. God whispered well done my child
and she transitioned from this life peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Brian Jennings Sr. (Colette); her
daughter Sharon Jones; her sister, Gwendolyn Parrish; her brothers, Je rey
Parrish, Alonza Parrish, and Gary Butler; and her late brother Frederick
Parrish. She was also a proud grandmother to Brian Jennings Jr., James Otis
Jennings, Nakeva Jennings, and Quateria Jennings preceded her in death. Her
six great-grandchildren; Kennedy Jennings, London Jennings, James Otis
Jennings Jr., Cameron Jennings, Maddison Jennings and Jha'zi Jennings,
Minnie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends
who loved her dearly.
