Manon Ann Diedrick Poole, 88, passed away on October 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 6, 1937, in San Antonio, TX, to Lillian and Alan Diedrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Irene Brackeen, son-in-law Elias Mark, and her loving husband of 67 years, Edward Poole. Manon is survived by her four children: Edward Poole (Carolyn), Michael Poole (Diana), Patrick Poole (Joy), and Amanda Mark. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Joshua Poole (Janine), Matthew Poole (Megan), Travis Poole (Katie), Garrett Poole, Ilona Poole, Alyssa Poole, Deanna Poole, Allyson Mark, Katherine Mark, and Madeline Mark, and six great grandchildren, Finn Poole, Emery Poole, Ava Poole, Bennett Poole, Ledger Poole, and Owen Poole. She also leaves behind her bonus children, Mark Clausen, Serge Riffard, Kenneth Pettersson, Marc Bohne, Jenni Kallio, and numerous other family and friends.

Manon grew up in San Antonio, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School. The family moved to League City in 1965, when Ed joined IBM. She was a force of nature, seeing a need and then building the team to fill it. She quickly became active in the community, leading Boy Scout troops and teaching Sunday school. Manon founded St. Mary's Catholic School, beginning with a Montessori preschool and expanding it through third grade. Later, she established and operated The Country Kingdom Montessori School and Childcare for 20 years, educating and inspiring hundreds of children.

A dedicated community leader, Manon chaired the League City Sesquicentennial celebration, which led to the historical society in town, and she was active in revitalizing the League City Garden Club. In later years, Manon developed a passion for genealogy and took pride in being a sixth-generation Texan. She was a proud member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Manon loved the beach, whether a quick trip to Galveston for a picnic or her beloved Hanalei Bay. Travel was her favorite pastime, enjoying adventures on six continents. Her love of travel began with the family's first exchange student in 1980. She would return with recipes and host parties to try them all. Manon built community wherever she went: at church, her children's activities, community groups, and among her friends. Manon was fierce in her love and opinions, telling friends and family what they needed to hear or do. She loved Ed, celebrated her children, delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed.

A Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 30, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 31, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker Street, League City, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mary's ACTS https://saintmcc.org/give, Bay Area Youth Singers https://bayareayouthsingers.org/payments/targeted-donations/, or a charity of your choice.
