Manuel S. Cadena

Manuel S. Cadena, 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Manuel was a kind, caring, and giving soul, who was loved by many and will be truly missed. There is a void in this world, as he was someone who many felt they could call upon during their time of need. He would help those who needed it without question. He'd often call and check on his loved ones daily, by making his "daily phone calls" and "roll call." He loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and camping. He also had a great appreciation for nature and its creatures.
Manuel was a proud Vietnam Veteran, part of the 23rd Infantry "Americal" Division. He was also a proud electrician and union member with the Brotherhood of IBEW, Local 234.
Manuel is survived by his three children, Manuel Cadena, Melissa Cadena, and Gabriel Cadena; his granddaughters, Anastasia, Madison, Serenity, and Aubrielle; grandsons, Emmanuel, Jacob, Isaiah, and Nicholas; his great-grandchildren, Luka, Elijah, Amaya, Jeremiah, and Noah. He will also be missed by his loyal and loving companion, his dog, Eddie. He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria Cadena, Toni Cadena-Rice, and brother Luz "Boy" Cadena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luz and Isabel Cadena, brother Frankie Cadena, sisters Leticia Cadena, Jessie Mora, Genevieve "Peewee" Johnson, and nephews Alfred Cadena and Steven "Kiki" Mora.
Viewing is scheduled for September 30, 2024 from 1PM- 5pm at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Blessing and Chapel service at 3PM and reading of the eulogy.
Burial is scheduled for October 1, 2024 at 11AM at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Rd. Seaside, CA 93955.
A reception will be held at the American Legion, Post 31, 14 W. Laurel Dr. Salinas CA from 1PM- 5PM.
