As a trumpet player for the esteemed Mariachi Sonora, Manuel captivated audiences with the vibrant sounds of mariachi music, enriching countless gatherings with his musical talent. His career not only showcased his extraordinary skills but also led to a proud moment for him and his ensemble when they were hired to perform as part of the movie "Tombstone." This honor highlighted not just his capability as a musician, but also his role in promoting the rich heritage of mariachi music.

Beyond his musicianship, Manuel was known for being the owner of Manny's Rip Rap, a beloved establishment where friends and family gathered to enjoy good food and music. Manuel's legacy continues through his devoted wife of 39 years, Maria Elena Quintero Gomez, and their four children: Veronica, Robert, Jorge, and Jessy. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Denise, Jessy, Aileen, Viviana, Victoria, Jessica, Ezri, George, Jassett and Veronica  as well as a great-grandfather to Freddy Mateo. His love for his family was evident in every facet of his life, and he is survived by his brother, Mario, and sister, Cruzita, who will carry forward his memory with love and fondness.
