Mission, Texas, Manuel's life was a testament to service, friendship, and a deep love for his family.
Manuel's legacy began with his valiant service in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, where he demonstrated the courage and dedication that would become the hallmark of his character. After his military service, Manuel continued to serve his community as a dedicated employee of the US Postal Service for 25 years. His commitment to his fellow veterans remained steadfast as he was an active member of the VFW Post 1508, the Elks Lodge Post 2591, and the Foreign Legion Post 200.
His son, Manuel Gomez III, and daughter-in-law Stacey, remember him as a loving father whose guiding hand was always gentle yet firm. Manuel's joy was multiplied with the birth of his granddaughters, Corina and Crystal, and further still with the arrival of his four great-grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his later years. He was a cherished brother to Josefina, Marge, and Bellia, whose shared memories will continue to be a source of comfort and laughter.
