Manuel Venegas Gonzalez was born on August 11, 1951, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Octavio and Enriqueta Gonzalez. He worked as a laborer for most of his life and was known for his strong work ethic and humble spirit.

Manuel was a man whose heart was as generous as his smile, and whose presence made every gathering warmer. He loved people deeply and showed it in the simplest, most meaningful ways-by showing up, sharing food, and taking time to care for everyone around him.

Saturdays often found him cooking chicharrones, not just for the food, but for the joy of connection it brought. He was well known for his asado, pan dulce, and elotes, using these moments to make his rounds-visiting loved ones, checking in, and making sure everyone was doing well. What seemed like a simple routine was, for Manuel, an act of love and community.

He had a special gift for brightening a day. With a kind word, a warm greeting, or a thoughtful compliment, he could lift spirits effortlessly. A man of faith, Manuel prayed to the Virgen de Guadalupe and lived his life with humility, gentleness, and a readiness to help others. If someone needed a ride, he was there. If someone was hungry, he made sure they would not go without.

He enjoyed his lunch and dinner outings at Aracely's Restaurant, Tacos OJ, and especially Dairy Queen. He cherished coffee dates filled with conversation and companionship. His smile lit up every room he entered, often followed by laughter and a good story-always reminding others to enjoy life and not take things too seriously.

Through his kindness, humor, and quiet generosity, Manuel left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Manuel Venegas Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents, Octavio and Enriqueta Gonzalez; his sister, Petra Carrasco; and his brother, Jorge Gonzalez.

He is survived by his siblings: Sara and Ramon Lopez, Octavio Gonzalez, Bonifacio and Maria Gonzalez, Librada Zuniga, and Lydia and Salvador Acosta, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Homero Gonzalez, Baldemar Lopez, Homer Lopez Jr., Israel Benavidez Jr., Gilberto Gonzalez, and Javier Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearers Cristian Lopez and Isaiah Granado Jr.

The family of Manuel Venegas Gonzalez would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone for their love and support, with special appreciation to Lupita.
