Manuel Ray Luera, 32, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Manuel was born in Odessa, Texas to David Luera Sr. and Veronica Gonzalez on September 23, 1991. Manuel graduated High school on the President’s list in 2010. He married Monica Luera on August 28, 2017, in Odessa, Texas. Manuel worked as a Pipe inspector for Drilco for more than 10 years.
Manuel was passionate about body building, jujitsu, his men’s group at MidCities, and most of all, providing for his family.
Manuel is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Marcelo and Clara Garcia; his aunt/godmother, Sally Garcia; paternal grandparents, Santiago and Margarita Luera; and uncles, Frank and Jimmy Luera.
Manuel is survived by his wife, Monica Luera, children; Jeremiah Martinez, Nathan Luera, Julius Luera, Madden Green, and Cesare Luera. As well as sister Erica Rodriguez , brother in law, Joe Rodriguez, and brother, David Luera, Jr., and sister in law, Serina Luera, and parents David Luera Sr. and his wife Geneva Matos and Veronica Gonzalez, and husband Juan Gonzalez.
