Manuel Moniz, 59, of Fall River, husband of Ana (Bergantim) Moniz, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Feteiras, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Moniz and the late Maria Conceicao (Moniz) Moniz.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a Foreman for PA Landers Construction Company for many years. He loved fishing, playing the drums, cruises, and traveling to such places as Florida, the Dominican Republic, and back to his homeland in the Azores. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he also enjoyed playing soccer and serving as goalie for the Taunton Eagles. Most importantly, Manny relished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandson who meant the world to him.

Besides his devoted wife, he leaves his loving daughter, Karie A. Young and her husband, Nicholas, of Fall River; his grandson, Kain Manuel Young; siblings, Cremilde Pereira and her husband, Gilbert, Maria Medeiros and her husband, Herculano, both of Fall River, Isidro Moniz and his wife, Irene, of Taunton, Idalina Carreiro and her husband, Joao, Nick Moniz, and Humberto Moniz and his wife, Camilla, all of Fall River; his sister-in-law, Julieta Moniz, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose Moniz.

His visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River from 5-8 PM. Private cremation to follow.
